In some cases Acronis Managed Machine Service cannot stop in time and is killed and you receive the following error in logs:

acronis_mms.service failed.

Cause

Timeout period for Acronis MMS service is too short for the given environment and Acronis software usage.

Increase the timeout setting for acronis_mms to allow for correct service stop.

Machine already has been backed up several times. To check the recovery points, you go to All devices, select the machine, and click Recovery.
