Doing a hard reboot during a Try&Decide session can make the system unbootable

Windows 7 has a System Reserved Partition, which is used for booting

You have installed True Image 2013 by Acronis on Microsoft Windows 8 and created a system backup using Acronis Nonstop Backup feature. The system restore will lead to an unbootable operating system. Download and install the latest build of True Image 2013 by Acronis to fix this issue.

When performing a recovery of an Windows XP or 2003 Server system with a change from IDE to AHCI makes the system unbootable after succesfull recovery. To fix this issue, use an older Intel storage driver.

Symptoms

  1. You have an Entire Mac backup created on macOS 13 Ventura
  2. You start full system recovery from this backup
  3. After recovery is complete, you're prompted to install macOS 12 Monterey
  4. Mac is unbootable after installing macOS 12 Monterey

Cause

System won't boot when the backed up macOS is newer than the one installed after restore.

Download the macOS Ventura installer manually using one of the below methods and run the recovery once again:
