Introduction

To use Acronis True Image on a Windows computer or a Mac, you need to activate it via the Internet. Without activation the fully functional product works for 30 days. If you do not activate it during that period, all the program functions become unavailable except the recovery.

Symptom

Windows event log is spammed with error events with ID 10010 and "The server {1EF75F33-893B-4E8F-9655-C3D602BA4897} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout." message, if Acronis True Image is installed.

When looking into the details of the error events, ti_managers_proxy.dll is found

Cause

Known issue, which was partially fixed in build 17750 of Acronis True Image 2019.

Symptoms

1. You installed Management Server and Agent of Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 on the same machine,
2. When you try to add machine using Add button in Devices tab, error message appears:

You cannot remotely install the agent on the same machine that performs the remote installation. Please install the agent on this machine locally

Symptoms

1. An attempt to register VPN Appliance for Site-to-site connection model in Acronis Disaster Recovery Cloud fails with this error message:

User name or password is incorrect.

2. Two-factor-authentication (2FA) is enabled for the account used for VPN Appliance registration.

Prerequisites

Make sure that you have followed steps described in User’s Guide correctly:

Symptoms

You have successfully installed an Acronis Backup Agent, but registration failed and machine does not appear in Cyber Protection console.

Or you need to re-register a client machine to another Backup Account.

Solution

There are 2 methods

Method 1

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud has introduced a new option to register/ re-register the installed Backup Agent using the installer. The registration or re-registration can be done both on the Machine where the Backup Agent is installed or on a different machine.
