How to restore files in Acronis True Image

To recover files and folders:

You try to recover or delete a backup via the Cyber Protection console.

The operation fails with:

The machine with ID '...' is offline or is not available"

Cause

The machine with Agent is offline or deleted.

Solution

If possible, bring the agent back online to perform the operation.

If the original Agent is no longer available, use one of the following solutions:

The management portal enables you to save and download Files/Folders that have been backed up. There are 2 methods to recover files larger than 100 MB, using the backup console or using the web restore console

Symptoms

You are logged in as partner administrator and attempt to download files for recovery:

  • Click Manage service of any customer
  • Go to Devices tab and press Recovery tab for any machine that has been backed up
  • Click More ways to recover -> Download files

A new browser page opens with the following error:
