Symptoms

After Update 5 (build 16180) installation, self-protection detects Acronis processes – mms.exe, managementserver.exe, service_process.exe – as suspicious:

Self-protection detected suspicious process 'C:\Program Files\Acronis\...'

Cause

Issue in the product.

Solution

This issue has been fixed in Build 16318, please update to the latest build.

Symptoms:

You have enabled encryption for a backup archive while creating a new backup plan. When you attempt to access the backup archive and enter the encryption password, the following error message appears: "The password for the protected backup is incorrect":

Symptoms

1) After upgrading from Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5, protection plans are missing

AND/OR

A new plan can be created, but cannot be started: nothing happens when clicking on Run now, or the message "Queued" is displayed

2) Upgrade log (C:\ProgramData\Acronis\UpgradeTool\<upgrade-date&time>) contains error(s) "POR: Cannot access property by path '.Hash'"

Symptoms

You create or edit a protection plan. 

When you press Create or Save, the operation hangs with "Optimizing plan for device". 

The protection plan is applied eventually, after 10-15 minutes of processing.

Cause

Issue in the product.

Solution

This issue has been fixed in Acronis Cyber Protect 21.07.

Symptoms

  • You have upgraded your system from Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 to Acronis Cyber Protect 15. 
  • After the upgrade, you created new protection plans. When you try to edit a newly created protection plan, there is a spinning loading circle with Reconnecting... message.

  1. You try to edit or apply an existing protection plan,
  2. The "Save" button is greyed out, and an alert appears:

    Cyber protection functionality is not fully available on X machines. Update the agent on these machines to enable full cyber protection."

Symptoms

After updating to Acronis Cyber Protect 15 Build 28405, new protection plans cannot be created, existing protection plans cannot be run or applied.

Operations fail with one of the following errors:

The protection plan cannot be applied or updated as the device has no license

The protection plan cannot be run as the device has no license

At the same time, a license is assigned to the affected machine.

Symptoms

After updating to Acronis Cyber Protect 15 Build 28503, new protection plans cannot be created, existing protection plans cannot be run or applied, if destination is local (network share, disk, etc.)

Backup to Cloud works fine with the same license.

Operations fail with one of the following errors:

The protection plan cannot be applied or updated as the device has no license

The protection plan cannot be run as the device has no license

Symptoms

  1. You created a protection plan with disabled backup, but enabled protection modules (Antivirus & Antimalware protection, URL filtering, etc.) and applied it to a device
  2. The applied plan is not shown in Cyber Protection Monitor. Device status says Protection plan not applied

Symptoms

An activity "Creating recovery server" fails on attempt to assign Disaster Recovery Protection Plan to machine with the following error message:

Your "Internet access" quota is not enabled. To enable the quota, contact the support team.

Description

  • You need to migrate a large number of cPanel hosts running on CloudLinux 6.10 or 7.9 to CloudLinux 8.x (e.g. CL8.5)
  • You would like to be able to continue using the same TIBX files and to keep using group plans/multi-machine plans applied to these hosts

Solution

Please follow the steps below to migrate:

1. Perquisites:

Symptoms

  • After C21.05 release, the protection plan doesn't start by schedule and cannot be started manually 
  • If you try to run the protection plan manually, it gets stuck in Loading status
  • Alerts appear in service console: Plan failed to deploy on machine ("Plan deployment failed")

Cause

Symptoms

  • You are trying to modify an existing protection plan
  • When you click on 'Save' changes are not saved
  • In HAR log (F12), the following error is shown: "sql: Scan error on column index 7, name "default_name_template_id": converting NULL to string is unsupported"

Cause

This issue is resolved.

    Symptoms

    • You log into Cyber Protection console;
    • You Select "All customer" from the pull down menu;
    • Click on "Devices" tab and select a workload;
    • Protection plan is not showing for that workload:

     

    Cause

    In the current product design, protection plans are not displayed in "All customers" on a partner level.

    Symptoms

    • You're creating or editing a protection plan to back up a network share
    • After you select a share in "What to back up" and specify credentials, an alert appears: "The credentials for location 'path' are incorrect"
