This article describes two ways of creating master image with Acronis Snap Deploy

Install Acronis Agent on the remote machine, connect to it, create a master image

When creating a master image using Linux bootable media, the size of created image is bigger than expected - the image is created in sector-by-sector mode. This issue occurs only, when using Windows Drive Management tool to resize partitions before.

You will need Acronis Bootable Media with the Acronis Snap Deploy 4 Master Image Creator component

Make sure you have Acronis Snap Deploy Management Agent installed on the remote machine whose master image you are going to take. See Acronis Snap Deploy 5: Remote Installation;

  1. Start Acronis Snap Deploy Management Console and connect to the machine with the Acronis Snap Deploy Management Agent:
