Detailed description of how the Backup Locations feature works in Acronis True Image Home

You can set consolidation to run automatically in Acronis Backup Server to comply with the quotas and time limits set for each profile

Using Acronis Archive Resorter you can recover the backup archives from a corrupt or deleted Acronis Backup Server

When saving an archive to Backup Location the progress bar halts at 100% and nothing happens. There is a progress going on, you just need to wait until it is over

How to create and schedule a task to clean up backup locations

Acronis Backup Server lets you store and manage backup archives of networked computers

At least 4 parallel connections should be allowed to a network share to let Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced save a backup archive to the network share

Even if there is enough free space on the tape for another backup, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 places the backup to a new tape

Logging on a machine through RDP does not trigger the task scheduled to start on user logon

Updating to the latest build of Acronis True Image 11 Home should resolve the issue

The issue may happen after upgrading from the previous version of Acronis True Image Home

Acronis Development Team has decided to remove ability to back up to Acronis Secure Zone from bootable media of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 starting from Build 11639, Acronis True Image Home 2010 starting from Build 7046, and Acronis True Image Home 2011.

However, due to requests from Customers, it was decided to restore this ability, and it will be available in next officially released builds of the above-mentioned products.

Quotas always exceed when Backup Location is on a network share or a network drive. This is a known issue

Question:

How can I move the activEcho FileStore to a non-default location?

Answer:

In our example we will use a FileStore running on the default port of 5787 located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Group Logic\activEcho Server\FileStore” and we will be changing it to be located at “E:\activEcho Data\FileStore” but keep the port the same.

When setting up recovery to the original location on a network share, explicitly specify the access credentials

As a workaround, manually specify where you would like to restore the files

Readd the backup and recreate the backup settings to fix the issue

If you need to move vault from one place to another, please proceed as described below at the Solution section:
