Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud and Acronis Backup Service are web-based applications. To back up your data, you only need to install a Backup Agent on your machine. You can manage and monitor system protection with a web-based console.
You are installing Acronis Cyber Backup on a Windows 8-based or Windows Server 2012-based computer.
Installation stays at 96% for up to 20 minutes. CPU is highly loaded.
A Windows 8-based or Windows Server 2012-based computer experiences high CPU usage when it runs a Windows Update applicability scan. Additionally, the applicability scan takes longer than expected. Windows Modules Installer (TiWorker.exe) is running on the machine, which may increase the time required to complete the installation.
Windows components of Acronis Backup 12.5/12 can be installed or updated using Windows Installer (the msiexec program) via MST-transform file or using msiexec command line parameters provided directly in installation script. Linux components are also available for installation in unattended mode.
On a machine with Windows operating system, you try to start Acronis Cyber Backup .exe installation file downloaded from the Internet or copied from another machine. After you double-click the installation file, mouse pointer shows some activity, but then nothing happens: installation is interrupted with no visible errors and installation wizard is not shown. If you check Windows event log, you see no crashes.
