This is a known issue
Collect information for investigation of Linux operating system lockups.
Operating system may hang under specific circumstances. To identify the exact cause, it is necessary to analyze Acronis System Report and a kernel dump.
Always make sure you have the latest build of the product (if it's possible).
- Acronis True Image 2021 and ISM CloudOne are installed on the same machine
- Sporadically, one or more of the following issues happen:
- File Explorer (explorer.exe) hangs or is very slow
- Icons become blank
- Right-click does not work
Compatibility issue between Acronis True Image and ISM CloudOne.
- Agent setup hangs during update due to deadlock in DeviceLock agent.
- Windows System log contains messages from Service Control Manager:
A timeout (600000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the Device Lock service.

When browsing the Clients tab and switching between clients in Management Console, the web UI sporadically hangs. A spinning circle is displayed and the page does not load:
No error message is shown.
Issue in the product.
This issue has been fixed in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud 21.04.
As a workaround for earlier versions, refresh the web page.
A third-party application runs slowly if Acronis True Image is installed.
Only those applications are affected, whose executable files (.exe) do not have a valid digital signature, AND modify a lot of files in a small period of time as part of its normal work.
To check if an executable file has a valid digital signature or not, follow the steps below:
Installation of third-party endpoint security software (e.g. BitDefender Endpoint Security) fails or hangs on the machine where Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office/Acronis True Image 2021 is installed, even when Antivirus and Antimalware protection is disabled.
Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office/Acronis True Image 2021 and third-party endpoint security software use the same network filtering driver (bddci.sys) that cannot be shared.
Before installing third-party endpoint security software follow the steps below:
VMware VM replication reaches 100% and hangs. No error or warning is displayed.
Logs from /var/run/log/hostd.log on ESX host contain a message similar to the following :
