While performing a single-pass backup from SQL instance, you receive this error. To solve this issue make sure, that the SQL instance accepting remote connections or remove database mirroring prior to restore.

The most probable cause is that the specified address is incorrect or the machine is unavailable

Using Acronis Backup in a multihomed environment

DNS resolver cannot resolve Acronis Cloud Storage server name.

  2. When you click the Reconfigure, Recovery buttons or try to perform any other operation with the backup, a notification message appears, saying "An error occurred either during connection or on the server. Check your Internet connection, or try to sign out, restart the program and sign in again"

  1. You have installed Management Server of build 16342 or updated the existing Management Server to this build.
  2. You launch the installation file of Build 16342 on a machine to install or update Agent locally.
  3. You specify the IP address or name of the Acronis Management Server where the agent should be registered. Connection fails with the following error:

Failed to connect to machine. HTTP status code: 500" error.

Troubleshooting

To verify if an error is related to Acronis software or to the environment, you can use a tool called EWSEditor to connect to the mailbox or public folder that causes errors and check if the error appears. This can be very useful in scenarios when:

Symptoms

Backup to a managed location fails with:

Connection to the storage node failed. Backup to storage node is not supported by earlier agent versions. Update your Cyber Protection agent to build 26172 or later

Cause

Starting from Acronis Cyber Protect 15 Update 4, Storage Node can only accept connections from Agents with build 26172 or later.
