Setting up E-mail notifications to have Acronis Drive Monitor send alerts and regular disk reports

This issue has been fixed in Acronis Backup 11.5 (Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5), please upgrade. As workaround you can remove alerts using a special script

You receive an email notification about a failed backup.

You check Acronis True Image user interface and all indicates that all backups have completed successfully :

  • green check box is displayed on each backup
  • backup completion confirmation is displayed under Activity tab for each backup
  • a new recovery point under Recovery tab is added as date and time of a successful backup (right upper corner)


Email notifications can be set up in two ways:

1) per backup task (Windows only)


2) universally for all existing and future backup tasks (Windows, Mac)

Per-backup notifications are more configurable, but are more complicated to set up.

Global notifications are easy to enable, but are less informative.

What is maintenance and why is it important?


After agent update to v9.0 (build 21780), previously cleared alerts re-appear in Cyber Protection console.


Issue in the product.


This issue has been fixed in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud 9.0 build 22390.

As a workaround for older builds, clear all obsolete alerts individually or using Clear All button.

If you re-register the affected agent, deleted alerts will reappear again.



Multiple "Failed to apply Active Protection policy" alerts appear on various devices at different time when there are no visible activities in console, e.g. no attempts to apply protection plans or other actions.


Issue in the product. 

This issue will be fixed in an upcoming update of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. This article will be updated when the issue is fixed.
