Acronis Access

In case your Gateway Server and Access server go out of sync, your data sources will not be accessible by mobile clients. This is a very rare occurance, to fix it, do the following:

  1. Open the Acronis Cyber Files web interface and log in as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to Mobile Access -> Data Sources.
  3. Open the desired Data Source and press the Save button. You need to do this for all Data Sources linked to the un-synced Gateway Server.

Introduction

When running Acronis Cyber Files in single port configuration mode, the maximum number of characters in a folder path in the Web Client is limited. By adding/changing a registry setting, you can increase this limit.

This is a known issue with Google Chrome browsers on Android devices.

There is an occuring message in the Acronis Access Tomcat logs stating: "Caused by: org.apache.catalina.LifecycleException: The connector cannot start since the specified port value of [-1] is invalid". This message can safely be ignored and this error has no effect on the performance of the product whatsoever. One specific port is set to -1 on purpose, as a security feature, to prevent other service or software from shutting down Tomcat.

Some videos can be played back while others of the same type cannot be played.

Acronis Access Advanced and Acronis Mass Transit are not directly affected by Meltdown or Spectre.

Acronis Cyber Files (formerly Files Advanced) has a command line tool which collects information about your configuration. This tool provides an easy way to give our support team all the necessary information about your setup in case you are experiencing issues. When running the tool on a machine with a single Gateway Server or a single Cyber Files Server installed, only the information about the installed component will be collected.
