In case your Gateway Server and Access server go out of sync, your data sources will not be accessible by mobile clients. This is a very rare occurance, to fix it, do the following:
- Open the Acronis Access web interface and log in as an administrator.
- Navigate to Mobile Access -> Data Sources.
- Open the desired Data Source and press the Save button. You need to do this for all Data Sources linked to the un-synced Gateway Server.
This is a known issue with Google Chrome browsers on Android devices.
The GOST block cipher, defined in the standard GOST 28147-89, is a Russian government standard symmetric key block cipher. It can be used to encrypt the files in the Acronis Access File Repository on Russian localized servers.
For both of the below encryptions, your server must be using the Russian locale, otherwise the GOST option in Acronis Access will not show up. Pre-existing files will NOT be re-encrypted. All new files will be encrypted using the GOST encryption.
In case you want your Windows Acronis Access client to be in a different language than the operating system, follow these steps to force the client to use another language.
There is an occuring message in the Acronis Access Tomcat logs stating: "Caused by: org.apache.catalina.LifecycleException: The connector cannot start since the specified port value of [-1] is invalid". This message can safely be ignored and this error has no effect on the performance of the product whatsoever. One specific port is set to -1 on purpose, as a security feature, to prevent other service or software from shutting down Tomcat.

In newer versions of Acronis Access (6.1 and later), we have introduced a command line tool which collects information about your configuration. This tool provides an easy way to give our support team all the necessary information about your setup in case you are experiencing issues. When running the tool on a machine with a single Gateway Server or a single Access Server installed, only the information about the installed component will be collected.
Acronis Access Advanced and Acronis Mass Transit are not directly affected by Meltdown or Spectre.
