Resolution

Select a host from the object tree and press the Import VM button on the main panel menu. This will open the Import VM wizard.

1. Select storage and define the path that contains the VM data.

2. Select the VM data that you want to import.

I want to clone a virtual machine (VM) in Acronis Manager Datacenter. How do I do that?

Resolution

To clone a VM, select a VM you want to clone from the object tree and press the Clone VM button on the main panel menu. The Clone VM dialog box will be opened. 

Provide the number of clones, clone name patterns and the storage parameters and press OK.

Create a windows file and folder share and set path to the folder in the following format: \\MyNAs\SMBShareFolder.

Note: Ensure that NTFS file level permission is set and that all Hyper-V hosts or “everyone” can access this network folder share.

Resolution

If Management Console is on the same network as the Management Server and the Hyper-V hosts, then you only need to set access credentials for every hosts in the objects tree. Right click on the host and press Set Credentials button in the toolbar.

1. To create a VM backup, please select the backup module then click the Create button on the top menu bar to start the process.

Resolution

Virtual switch management is implemented in the Virtual Switches tab. You can create, edit and delete virtual switches for all of the managed Hyper-V hosts.

To create a new virtual switch, select a host in the tree and press Create VMSwitch button in the toolbar.

To remove a clustered VM from cluster:

  1. Select the cluster in the Acronis Manager Datacenter object tree
  2. Select the VM that you need to remove from cluster and right click on it

I installed .NET but I am still having issues while trying to deploy the host agents during the Acronis Manager Datacenter setup. How can I resolve this?

Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message:

  • WinRM cannot process the request. The following error with errorcode 0x80090311 occurred while using Kerberos authentication: there are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
