1508: Linux System Report

    Last update: 08-04-2022

When investigating issues with Acronis Cyber Backup Software products for Linux, Acronis Support may require to get detailed information on the Linux system. Below is the description of how to compile such a report.

If Acronis Agent for Linux is used in a GUI environment

    1. Open the Management Console and connect to the Acronis Agent installed on the problem system
    2. Click Help -> Collect system information from...
    3. Generating the report may take a few minutes depending on your environment. When the report is ready, it will prompt you to save the report on a local disk or on a network folder. Specify location for the report and click OK:

If Acronis Agent for Linux is used in a shell environment

    1. Run the following command with root privileges:

      #acrocmd sysinfo --loc=/<full_path_to_report/file_name>

Where /full_path_to_report/file_name is the desired existing location and filename to save the Linux System Report.

    2. Once the command is finished, you will see a "The operation completed successfully" message.

If for some reason the above command does not work, please run a bash script with root privileges to collect this information directly:

    #/usr/lib/Acronis/BackupAndRecovery/systeminfo

The report will automatically be saved to the /var/lib/Acronis/sysinfo/ directory.

If Acronis Cyber Protect is not yet installed on the machine

    Extract AcronisinfoUtility from the installer.

For Acronis Cyber Protect 15/12.5 and Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud:

If using the downloaded script is not possible, as an alternative, you can extract the systeminfo file from the installation file.

The script might fail on CentOS with this error:
