If you need to change the account used by Acronis to log in to vCenter or ESX(i) host in version 5 and 6:
1. You use Interner Explorer 11 and log in to backup console via Sign in as current Windows user
2. After logging out, you attempt to log in to backup console via Enter user name and password. You receive an error:User name or password is incorrect
Starting Wednesday April, 15, 2020, API access will be removed from regular Autotask user accounts.
If integration of Acronis Cloud with Autotask PSA is configured using regular user account, you will see the following message on integration page:
Please create an API user with the integration name "Acronis - Acronis Cyber Cloud" and update current user credentials according to the Autotask PSA API version 1.6 requirements.
When creating an application-aware backup, you need to specify a guest OS user from Administrators group.
If the guest OS user that you specify is not built-in Administrator, then the following changes must be applied in the guest OS so that this user can be used for application protection in Acronis Backup.
Otherwise, you will see one of these errors:
The specified user does not have enough rights to create an application-aware backup. User Account Control is enabled in the guest system and this user is not a built-in administrator.
