Remove the scheduled tasks, zap the scheduled tasks, and recreate the tasks to fix the issue

This is an issue in the Windows powrprof.dll library. Download the fix and replace Scheduler2 files

Start the Acronis Scheduler2 Service to fix the issue

Download a special Acronis utility, stop the service and uninstall the service

By analyzing schedreport.txt you can find out name and SID of the user who scheduled and ran the task, as well as the name and time and date of when the task was executed.

Acronis services are not started. As a result, operations fail


  1. You scheduled the backup to run on 'On the system shutdown' 
  2. Backup fails with the following message:

Backup scheduled on the system shutdown has failed.


Check the following system settings on the Agent machine to make sure that there are no factors preventing backup tasks from execution:

1) Open Windows Registry (press Win+R, type regedit and click OK to open) and check the following:

You try to clone a disk in Acronis True Image. Operation fails with the following error:

The likely cause is that the Acronis Scheduler2 service and/or processes are not running properly. This service is responsible for executing tasks. 

Acronis Scheduler is a tool which is responsible for scheduled Acronis operations. If scheduled backups or other activities do not work as configured in backup plan or task, proceed with this article in order to identify the root cause and solve the issue if possible.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot Acronis Scheduler issues:
