Description

The following Acronis products support macOS:

  • Acronis True Image 2016 and later
  • Acronis True Image for Mac (2015 version)
  • Acronis Backup 12.5
  • Acronis Backup Cloud
  • Acronis Mobility

(!) Other Acronis products do not support Apple Mac OS X. This means that:

Symptoms

  1. You create a deployment task with the default option "Shut down" enabled for an Agent on Windows 8;
  2. After you perform a successful deployment, the Agent reboots instead of shutting down.

Cause

This is an irregular known issue.

Solution

As a workaround, please shut down the Agent machine manually (or through Remote Desktop).

You are backing up data to a network share, and Validation is enabled in the backup plan. A recovery point is created, however, during the validation operation the target network share became temporary unavailable.

The process hangs at 89% and you see an "Interaction required" message in the Status column. When you click the activity to see details, it says: "Network location is unavilable at the moment". When you click Retry, it gives you an error message: "Cannot resume a command because it is not paused".

The operation fails because the archive meta information is damaged or missing. Run vault validation to fix the issue

You have a local backup file and you want to mount it in read-only mode as a local drive to browse the archive or to restore the data from it.

After you mount the volume, you go to browse it. Contents of the Volume are not what you have expected but some system files.

You are backing up several virtual machines with Acronis Agent for Hyper-V (installed on the Hyper-V host) or Acronis Agent for VMware (Windows) installed on a Windows machine connected to the ESX(i) host.

The backup plan is applied to a group of machines.

In a while, you receive an error message or an email notification about the error: "No backup items were resolved. GXT: The item provider has skipped the report of an item with key."

You are using a branded URL instead of the default cloud.acronis.com or DC-cloud.acronis.com.
