Description
In some cases you may require to disable a specific VDDK transport method to optimize backup performance in your particular environment.
To disable particular VDDK transport on Agent for VMware (Virtual Appliance):
1. Connect to Acronis Cyber Backup Appliance using WinSCP utility.
2. Open the /etc/Acronis/VirtualWare.config file in WinSCP text editor (F4)
3. In the "DisabledTransport" value add a list of disabled transports separated by ":".
List of possible values: "hotadd:san:nbd:nbdssl:file".

4. Save the modified file and reboot the appliance
To disable particular VDDK transport on Agent for VMware (Windows):
1. Open Windows Registry Editor: Start -> search -> type regedit.exe and press Enter.
2. Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\VirtualWare\VMwareESXServer\VixDiskLib\
3. Within this key, locate string value DisabledTransport. Edit this string value and specify a list of disabled transport methods separated by ":".
List of possible values: "hotadd:san:nbd:nbdssl:file".

4. Restart Acronis Managed Machine service: Start -> Search -> type services.msc and press Enter -> locate Acronis Managed Machine service and click Restart
