1) Entire machine backup of a Mac with Apple RAID fails with the following error:
No volumes have been found while processing the 'Fixed Volumes' template
2) If all disks are combined in Apple RAID, when you try to select disks for backup, you get an error Nothing to display
3) If some of the disks on Mac are combined in Apple RAID, but non-RAID disks are also present, then in disk/partition mode disks in RAID cannot be selected for backup, and in Entire Machine mode RAID disks are not backed up.
Apple RAID is not supported for disk/partition backup.
You can still use file/folder backup to protect data on computers with Apple RAID. You can also back up non-RAID disks on the Mac machine, even when Apple RAID is present in the system.
