How to obtain ftp.log file
Windows 32-bit
To obtain FTP log, please do the following on the machine where an Acronis product is installed:
- Run regedit from Start -> Run;
- Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\DebugLogs registry key. (If the DebugLogs key does not exist, please create it);
- Add ftp value (Type: DWORD; Data: 1)
- Reproduce the issue.
Windows 64-bit
To obtain FTP log, please do the following on the machine where an Acronis product is installed:
- Run regedit from Start -> Run;
- Open the following registry key:
- Acronis Backup & Recovery Build 17217 or higher
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis\DebugLogs registry key. (If the DebugLogs key does not exist, please create it)
- Older Acronis Backup & Recovery builds or Acronis vmProtect:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Acronis\DebugLogs registry key. (If the DebugLogs key does not exist, please create it)
- All other products:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Acronis\DebugLogs registry key. (If the DebugLogs key does not exist, please create it)
- Acronis Backup & Recovery Build 17217 or higher
- Add ftp value (Type: DWORD; Data: 1)
- Restart the Managed Machine Service (Managed Machine Service or Acronis vmProtect Managed Machine Service).
- Reproduce the issue.
In Windows 2000/XP/2003 the ftp.log will be created in Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\DebugLogs folder.
In Windows Vista, Windows 7 and later, Windows Server 2008 and later the ftp.log will be created in \ProgramData\Acronis\DebugLogs.
Acronis Linux (Bootable Media and Virtual Appliance)
By default ftp log is created in the /tmp folder and has the following format: ftp-YYYY-MM-DD.log. In order to collect this log do the following:
- Start the product in bootable media.
- Reproduce the issue with the FTP-server.
- Go to the shell (Actions - Shell or press Ctrl-Alt-F2).
- Collect the ftp log in one of the following ways:
- Copy the file from /tmp/ftp-YYYY-MM-DD.log using a samba share or SCP client.
- Copy the file to product log folder (cp /tmp/ftp-YYYY-MM-DD.log /var/lib/Acronis/ftp-YYYY-MM-DD.log), go back to console and collect system information. The log will be included in the diagnostic information.
