Introduction

Almost all modern computers have UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) firmware implementations, some of them also including legacy support for BIOS services. UEFI firmware could be either 32 or 64-bit. Not all Acronis programs support both 32- and 64-bit versions of UEFI. See https://kb.acronis.com/content/43091 for 32-bit UEFI devices support limitation.

EFI-basierte Systeme werden in aktuellen Acronis Produkten unterstützt.

When performing troubleshooting you might need to know whether Acronis Bootable media is booted in UEFI or legacy BIOS modes.

Method 1. If you can see bootable media Loading, then pay attention to its initial screen:

When you turn on the computer, Acronis bootable environment starts up unexpectedly instead of Windows.

Acronis Startup Recovery Manager was not activated or used.
