Das Produkt kann nicht auf das Festplattenlaufwerk zugreifen, um einen Snapshot zu erstellen
Acronis software may give errors, freeze or produce other undesired effects when there are issues with parts of the computer environment it operates in:
Disk partitions, file systems
Backup task hangs at "Calculating time remaining..."
Try reinstalling or updating your VMware tools to fix the issue
Increase the storage size or change the storage location of the volume snapshot
You attempt to perform a disk or partition backup that fails with the following error: "Failed to read the snapshot."
This article applies to backups of Hyper-V VMs performed by Agent for Hyper-V (agent-less)
Prior to performing the backup, make sure that the below prerequisites are met:
1. Hyper-V Integration Services must be up-to-date and running inside the virtual machine(s).
2. In order to avoid VM going into "saved" state during backup, make sure that the Integration services -> Backup (Volume checkpoint) option is enabled in VM settings in Hyper-V Manager.
If there is not enough storage space to create the temporary snapshot file, the backup operation will fail with an error message similar to the following one:
Not enough storage is available to process this command
This article describes what this temporary file is and how to modify its size. For detailed description of the snapshot process, see SnapAPI.
The product cannot access the hard disk drive to create a snapshot
As a workaround, use Microsoft VSS instead of Acronis VSS
This article describes what to do if after a backup failure the backed up virtual disks are left attached to Acronis Virtual Appliance
Deactivate scoped snapshots for Hyper-V virtual machines.
Backup with activated Volume Shadow Copy fails with the following error similar:
The backup has failed because 'VSS Writer' has failed during snapshot creation.
This error can be produced by different VSS writers, see some examples below:
When backing up a network shared folder you get 'The credentials for network share are incorrect' error, even though you are able to access this share in Windows File Explorer using the same credentials.
Backup activity fails with the following error:
Operating system error: The shadow copy provider had an error. Check the System and Application event logs for more information.
You are backing up a virtual machine with Windows Server 2019 on ESXi 6.5 or 6.7 using Agent for VMware (Windows) or Virtual Appliance,
Agentless backup finishes with warning
Creating a crash-consistent snapshot of virtual machine because the creation of its application-consistent snapshot has failed. An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Failed to quiesce the virtual machine
Starting with build 6106 (Acronis True Image New Generation) and build 8029 (Acronis True Image Standard), Acronis implemented an additional setting for adjusting snapshot type.
Activity fails with one of the following errors:
Windows error: (0x800705B4) This operation returned because the timeout period expired
Operating system error: This operation returned because the timeout period expired
While using the VSS backup option to back up complex applications, you may encounter issues with creating volume snapshot/shadow copy. This article provides instructions on how to troubleshoot and resolve such issues.
