Issue

Using Wireshark you can collect network tracing logs

Das Produkt kann nicht auf das Festplattenlaufwerk zugreifen, um einen Snapshot zu erstellen

Symptoms

  1. You are backing up the entire machine or some files to any locaton (Cloud, local or network share).
  2. You restore or download an individual file from the backup, the restore operation finishes successfully without errors or warning, however, the resulting file is corrupted and is zero size.

Cause

There is a known issue with backups of systems, where Windows native Data deduplication is enabled.

Issue will be addressed in future updates.

You have a machine with a backup plan. In a while, you re-register the machine to a different user, but the backup plan still runs although it is not listed among backup plans for this device. If you delete entries about this backup plan via acrocmd, they return in a while.

You are backing up data to a network share, and Validation is enabled in the backup plan. A recovery point is created, however, during the validation operation the target network share became temporary unavailable.

The process hangs at 89% and you see an "Interaction required" message in the Status column. When you click the activity to see details, it says: "Network location is unavilable at the moment". When you click Retry, it gives you an error message: "Cannot resume a command because it is not paused".

You are backing up any data to a local drive or a network share of any type. Backup schedule is other than "Always incremental". Always incremental archives are not affected by this issue as this backup scheme produces archives of another type.

At some point when you already have a full backup and create subsequent backups, the process starts failing or producing a warning: "The archive is invalid or its type is unsupported."

Issue can also happen when trying to delete the backup.

You have a backup of a machine with large disks (usually 1 TB and larger). When you go to Web Restore Console to browse the files on the disk, you see the error:

Server is not available at the moment.

You are using a branded URL instead of the default cloud.acronis.com or DC-cloud.acronis.com.

You are backing up websites and/or mobile devices.

Once you log in to Backup Console to check the backups of your device/website or your customers' devices/websites, you try to check the recovery points, but receive an error message similar to the following:

Archive server error" and "JWT is issued by unregistered issuer

The product cannot access the hard disk drive to create a snapshot

When you press the Backup Monitor icon in the system tray, an error occurs: "An internal error has occurred".

You have a local backup file and you want to mount it in read-only mode as a local drive to browse the archive or to restore the data from it.

After you mount the volume, you go to browse it. Contents of the Volume are not what you have expected but some system files.

You are backing up several virtual machines with Acronis Agent for Hyper-V (installed on the Hyper-V host) or Acronis Agent for VMware (Windows) installed on a Windows machine connected to the ESX(i) host.

The backup plan is applied to a group of machines.

In a while, you receive an error message or an email notification about the error: "No backup items were resolved. GXT: The item provider has skipped the report of an item with key."

You create a backup plan with a pre-set template for schedule - "Weekly full, Daily incremental"

You expect to have only the set amount of full backups, but in fact each month one extra is generated on the first day of the month.

To back up the system encrypted with BitLocker you will need to create an image from Windows

Update Acronis Scheduler and recreate the tasks

Incremental or differential backups are larger when performed after disk defragmentation or full restore
