8916: Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange: "Attempt to use the null reference" in the Acronis Management Console Log

This message in the log means that there is nothing to clean up in the backup location

This article applies to:

  • Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange


  1. In Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange, you create a clean-up task;
  2. The clean-up task runs successfully;
  3. In the Acronis Management Console log there is the following error entry:

    Attempt to use null reference


The backup location to which the clean-up task was set is empty. There are no backups to clean up.


Set the clean-up task to a backup location that has backups.
