Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010 Parental Control enables you to control the access to the Internet and to specific applications for each user holding a user account on the system.

You can configure Parental Control to block:

  • Inappropriate web pages;
  • Internet access, for specific periods of time;
  • Web pages, e-mail messages and instant messages if they contain specific keywords;
  • Applications like games, chat, filesharing programs or others;
  • Instant messages sent by IM contacts other than those allowed.

Only users with administrative rights on the system can access and configure Parental Control. To make sure that only you can change the Parental Control settings for any user, you can protect them with a password. You will be prompted to configure the password when you enable the Parental Control for a specific user.

Configuring Parental Control

The Parental Control module is only available in the Intermediate and Expert modes.

  1. Invoke Parental Control by clicking Parental -> Parental Control in the Intermediate mode or Parental Control in the Expert mode:
