Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud has been tested for compatibility with Microsoft Azure Stack HCI environments and confirmed to work properly in the following scenarios using an Agent-based approach (installing the Protection Agent inside a VM):
1. Installing/uninstalling the Agent for Windows/Linux inside the guest OS of a VM hosted on Azure Stack HCI.
Note: For list of supported Windows/Linux guest OS versions refer to the product documentation.
2. Backup and recovery of:
- Entire machine
- Disks/volumes
- Files/folders
The testing has been performed using Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, version 23.03 (March 2023) and Azure Stack HCI, version 22H2.
Limitations:
- Applies to Azure Stack HCI virtual machines which have the EFI Secure Boot feature enabled: recovery of an entire machine or disks/volumes back to original, where a reboot is required to finish the operation (for recovering system disk/volume, for example).
- Workaround: Disable the Secure Boot feature in the VM properties before performing an entire machine recovery.
