Symptoms
You receive an alert about NVMe drive possible failure:
Disk failure is possible
The 'KXG60ZNV256G NVMe TOSHIBA 256GB' disk on 'machinename01' machine is likely to fail in the future. Please run a full image backup of this disk as soon as possible, replace it and then recover the image to the new disk.
Device: machinename01
Disk: KXG60ZNV256G NVMe TOSHIBA 256GB
Backup is working fine and there are no alerts in activity tab. When you check the disk status by manufacturer's tools, there are no issues, and no alerts related to the disk in Windows event log.
Cause
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud does not yet support disk health monitoring for NVMe SSDs. This feature will be implemented in future versions of the product.
Solution
Starting from Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud 22.01 (Agent build 28816) false alerts for NVMe disks are not shown.
For earlier versions of the product, if manufacturer's tools report no issues with the NVMe disk, this alert can be safely ignored.
