How to export and import plans
Introduction
In Acronis Cyber Protect 15 (Advanced editions) you can export and import protection plans, e.g. for migration or troubleshooting purposes.
Note that protection plans can only be imported/exported within the same product version, e.g. plans exported from Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 cannot be imported to Acronis Cyber Protect 15.
Solution
To export one or more plans:
- Open the web console.
- Go to Plans tab, and select the section from which you want to export plans, e.g Protection:
- Select one or more plans you want to export. A pane opens on the right side. Click Export:
If you export a single plan, the file is saved in .json format.
When you export multiple plans, the resulting .json files are compressed into a single .zip archive. You will need to unzip the archive before importing the plans into Management Console.
To import one or more exported plans:
- Open the web console.
- Go to Plans tab, and select the section from which you want to import plans, e.g Protection:
Make sure to select the correct section, e.g. Protection for protection plans and Validation for validation plans. Import will not work if the selected section does not match the plan type. - Click Import:
- Select the file(s) with the plan(s) that you want to import and click Open. Files should be in .json format.
If you exported multiple plans at the same time, the resulting .json files are compressed into a single .zip archive. You need to unzip the archive before importing the plans into Management Console.
