This article contains information about typical errors which may occur during DeviceLock DLP installation, or upon connection to installed DeviceLock components:

  1.  An attempt to install DeviceLock service on a computer with DeviceLock Enterprise Manager or Setup.exe fails with 'Fatal error during installation. (1603)' error. The error indicates that Windows Installer Service has encountered an error which is preventing DeviceLock Agent installation. Recommendations to investigate this issue are described at article "Fatal error during installation. (1603)" error during DeviceLock service installation".
  2. Connection to DeviceLock Enterprise Server, or DeviceLock Content Security Server via DeviceLock Management Console fails with ‘There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper (1753)’ error. The error indicates that you are trying to connect to a computer, where DeviceLock Enterprise Server, or DeviceLock Content Security Server is not running (either not installed, or stopped). Please make sure that recommendations from the following article are accomplished: ‘There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper (1753)’ error when connecting to DeviceLock server  
  3. DeviceLock Management Console returns ‘(5) Access is denied’ error during remote installation/uninstallation of DeviceLock Service, or when connecting to a computer controlled by DeviceLock Service,  DeviceLock Enterprise -,  or DeviceLock Content Security Server computers. The error indicates that the account used for the connection does not have enough privileges on the target computer.
