When copying a file to a removable drive, 'Insufficient space for local storage directory' message appears in system tray with 'Local Storage Quota has been exceeded (1295)' error logged into DeviceLock Audit Log.
The error and the message indicate that there is not enough free space for the shadowed data on local computer. For example, given that ‘Local Storage Quota’ parameter is set to 50%, and the free disk space is 10Gb, DeviceLock can use only 5 Gb of space to store shadow data, which might not be enough to successfully complete the operation*.
The total amount of free space in SHADOW directory must be 2,5-3 times greater than the size of copied data. This space is required to complete building of the shadow session, but after the shadow copy is ready, DeviceLock will release unnecessary space.
1. Provide enough free space for shadow data in order to successfully complete the shadowing operation
2. Disable Local storage quota to allow DeviceLock Service to use all available space on the disk where the SHADOW directory is located.
