In DeviceLock Enterprise Manager, scanning of selected computers fails with ‘The network path was not found (53)’ error .
The error indicates that the target computer either does not exist (an incorrect name, or an IP address has been specified), or is not accessible. The error may also be caused by ‘Server’ service not started on the target computer.
1. Make sure that the specified computer name is correct. Try accessing the computer via Windows Explorer, and connect to it using any standard Windows administrative tool (such as Computer Management, or Services).
2. Check status of the ‘Server’ service using standard Windows tool ‘Services.msc’ and start it in case it is stopped.
