Issue
I am getting a "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904)" error during the installation of Acronis Manager Datacenter Management Service. What might be causing this, and how do I fix it?
Resolution
Database initialize error "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904)", appears if the SQL Server cannot create file C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL13.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\5nineManagerDatacenter.mdf because it already exists.
Please perform the following steps to resolve this issue:
1. Stop the SQL Server service
Change the file path or the file name, and retry the operation. To do this go into database files storage and rename or remove previously created DB files:
5nineManagerDatacenter.mdf
5nineManagerDatacenter_log.ldf
SQL Database storage location C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL13.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\
2. Start the SQL Server Service
Please note that the MSSQL13.SQLEXPRESS folder may be different depending on the version of SQL Server that you use.
Note: You can get the logs for these issues in C:\ProgramData\5nine\5nine Manager Datacenter\Logs\5nine.Management.txt.
