I have the Active Protection and Lightweight Agent installed at the same time in Acronis Manager Standard with Antivirus (AV) protected VMs. Could this be causing issues with my scheduled Antivirus scans?
Lightweight agent and Active Protection (AP) agents cannot be installed together on the same VMs. If you are running the AP agent, it scans all of the files on access and moves detected items to a quarantine folder. This is why you do not need to run the Lightweight agent or schedule scans of the entire disk when AP agent is deployed. You can change how the AP agent will function when deployed on the VMs in the AV settings menu.
Note: Installing the Lightweight agent does come with some additional benefits. If you have setup scheduled scans, the optional installation of the Lightweight agent inside the VM will save you the necessity to perform reboots even on the VMs in a running state as it will take care of moving the detected items to the quarantine folder after the scan inside the guest VMs have been completed. Lightweight agent will also perform the restore and remove actions (while the VM is still running) on a quarantined item that was detected during the agentless scan; this normally requires a reboot of the target VM.
