Symptoms

You have Acronis-hosted or Hybrid deployment of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, meaning that Acronis Management Server is installed in Acronis data centers.

You want to Limit access to the web interface by specifying a list of IP addresses from which the members of a tenant are allowed to log in.

When you type the IP(s), you get this error:

Address is in the forbidden list.

Cause

The IP address(es) you have set, are in the private IP address space.

Solution

Since Acronis Management Server is in Acronis data center and outside of your private network, you won't be able to access it using your internal IPs. This is why private address spaces are not allowed in this field.

Private IP address spaces are:

  • 10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255
  • 172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255
  • 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255
