All editions have perpetual licenses that are unlimited in time. One perpetual license allows to use Acronis Disk Director 12.5 on one machine/operating system.
If you have one machine with one operating system (which is usually the case), you need one license of Acronis Disk Director 12.5. If you have a multiboot machine with more than one operating system, you will need one license of Acronis Disk Director 12.5 for each of the operating systems where you are going to use the product. For example, you have a dual-boot machine with Windows XP and Windows 7. You will need one license of Acronis Disk Director 12.5 to use it under Windows XP and one license to use the product under Windows 7.
If you have a physical machine on which you run a virtual machine, and you plan to use Acronis Disk Director 12.5 on both the physical and the virtual machine, you will need two licenses, one for each machine.
If you create Acronis Bootable Media, you can only use it on one machine. If you are going to use it on more than one machine, you will need a separate license for each computer (including virtual machines)
Acronis Disk Director 12.5 also has a special Technician license that allows to manage unlimited number of machines (including servers and/or workstations) during limited time period (as per the purchase, usually for 1 year).
