60806: How to move a license to another account

You have licenses of Acronis products registered in your account at Acronis website. You want to move some or all of these licenses to another account (associated with another email).

First, check whether your license is a perpetual license or a subscription. How to check whether your license is perpetual or subscription

Second, decide whether you want to move all licenses of this product or select licenses.

Move all perpetual licenses

  1. Log in to your account at account.acronis.com
  2. Locate the product you want to move to another account.
  3. Click the link Transfer all licenses under the product.
  4. Specify the email of the account you want to move the license to.
    It should be an existing account. If it is your new email and you have not created an account for it, create an account first.
  5. Confirm transfer with the password from the current account.
  6. You see a confirmation that the license has been successfully moved. Click Done.

After you have moved Acronis True Image license, you might get an 'Activation required' error in the product. You see this error, because you are logged into the old account while the license is moved to a new account. To resolve the issue, log in to the account where you have moved the license to.

Move some of perpetual licenses

  1. Log in to your account at account.acronis.com
  2. Locate the product you want to move to another account.
  3. To list licenses, click the tile with the total number of licenses:
  4. Select the license(s) that you want to move and click Transfer selected:
  5. Specify the email of the account you want to move the license to.
    It should be an existing account. If it is your new email and you have not created an account for it, create an account first.
  6. Confirm transfer with the password from the current account.
  7. You see a confirmation that the license has been successfully moved. Click Done.

After you moved Acronis True Image license, you might get an 'Activation required' error in the product. You see this error, because you are logged into the old account while the license is moved to a new account. To resolve the issue, log in to the account where you have moved the license to.

Move a subscription license

This option is only available for Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office (formerly Acronis True Image) subscriptions that are not in use yet. See instructions here. To move any other subscription contact Acronis Support.
