60789: Acronis Backup 12.5: update to build 8610 or 8650 causes errors during Acronis Management Server start

Symptoms

You have updated Acronis Backup 12.5 to build 8610 or 8650. After update, Acronis Management Server cannot start.

In C:\ProgramData\Acronis\AMS\logs\ManagementServer.0.log you see this error:

Solution

  1. Download dml_agent_configuration.db3 and unpack it.
  2. Navigate to %AllUsersProfile%\Acronis\AMS\ and move dml_agent_configuration.db3 to any other location.
  3. Place the downloaded dml_agent_configuration.db3 into %AllUsersProfile%\Acronis\AMS\
  4. Start upgrade tool for Acronis Management Server by any Windows user with administrator privileges:
    "C:\Program Files\Acronis\UpgradeTool\upgrade_tool.exe" --workflow=ams --nojson
  5. Restart all Acronis services.
