It is recommended to store backups to either a secondary local hard disk, an external USB disk, or a network share. Additionally Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 supports the following storage devices and media:
- Hard disk drives (including dynamic/LDM disks)
- Windows Shares
- Other networked storage devices
- FTP servers
- CD-R(W)
- DVD-RW, DVD+R(W)
- Blu-ray Discs
- REV drives
- ZIP, and other removable media
- P-ATA (IDE), S-ATA, SCSI, Serial attached SCSI (SAS), IEEE1394 (Firewire) and USB 1.1 / 2.0 drives, PC card storage devices.
