Compatibility issue

The compatibility issue has been fixed in Update 2 of Acronis Backup 12.5. Please update the product to the latest build.

More information

As workaround without updating, do the following:

  1. Stop the Acronis Removable Storage Management service: Start -> in search, type services.msc and click Services -> locate Acronis Removable Storage Management service and click Stop service.
  2. Open C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\ARSM
  3. Move arsm.exe to another location.
  4. Download this arsm.exe and place it into C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\ARSM
  5. Start the Acronis Removable Storage Management service.

Backup to tapes should work now.

Once you've made sure that backup runs successfully, you can delete the old arsm.exe.
