59775: Acronis Cyber Protect, Acronis Cyber Backup: how to set up Gmail as Email server

Applies to on-premises deployment of Acronis Cyber Protection 15 and Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5.

You can specify an email server that will be used to send email notifications from the management server. If you want to use a Gmail account as email service, do the following:

1. In the settings of your Gmail account, go to Security ---> App passwords:

Pay attention: 2-Step Verification should be activated.

2. Specify app and device. Under Select app choose Other (Custom name):

3. The password will be generated:

4. Specify the password in Acronis console.

Acronis Cyber Protect 15, Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5: In the Web Console, click on Settings ---> System settings ---> Email server. Choose Gmail, specify the generated password instead of your Google Password (more details).

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud: In the Management portal, go to the Branding tab and specify the generated password in the Email server Settings
