Backing up the entire machine is the most complete way to protect your data. We recommend that you choose this option when you are not sure which data that you need to protect. When you select Entire PC as a backup type, Acronis True Image backs up all your internal hard drives in disk mode. The backup contains the operating system, installed programs, system settings, and all your personal data including your photos, music, and documents.

To back up the entire contents of your Windows computer

  1. Start Acronis True Image.
  2. On the sidebar, click Backup.
  3. Entire PC is pre-selected, leave it as is:
  4. You can specify a custom name for your backup:
  5. Click Select destination, and then select a destination for the backup:
       
    You need Acronis Cloud Storage subscription to be able to back up to Acronis Cloud.
  6. Click Options to set the options for the backup, including schedule, scheme, archive cleanup and others:
  7. Click Back up now or select another start time option:

 To back up the entire contents of your Mac

  1. Start Acronis True Image.

  5. Click the backup destination icon, and then select a destination for the backup:
     
  6. Click the gear icon to set the options for the backup, including schedule, scheme, archive cleanup and others:
  7. Click Start backup.
