It's important to properly configure antivirus scanner running on a machine with Acronis Files Connect so that it won't negatively impact the software's workflows. Otherwise there might be occasional locks on files in AFP-shares, performance slowdowns or even index corruption.
- First of all, add the installation folder to the exclusion list of your antivirus scanner. By default it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\Access\Access Connect.
- If you're using Acronis Content Indexing and indexes are located outside the installation folder, add them to the exclusion list too. The default path for indexes is set at Settings > Search in the admin console (more information here), but there is also an opportunity to set another path in Indexing Options at a volume's Properties (more information here).
- And also disabling scanning files on read (sometimes referred to as scan on access) will greatly improve performance since the Finder browses will trigger a read request on the file system. Scan on writes/modifications only is the recommended setting.
