Do the following, if you want to back up individual disk/partitions or files/folders.

On a Windows computer

  1. Start Acronis True Image.
  2. On the sidebar, click Backup.
  3. Click on the + sign to add a new backup.
  4. Click the Backup source icon, and then select the type of items you want to back up: disk and partitions or files and folders:
       
  5. In the opened window, select the check boxes next to the items that you want to back up, and then click OK:
  6. Click the Backup destination icon, and then select a destination for the backup:

    Acronis Cloud is availble for Acronis True Image Cloud users.
  7. Click Options to set the options for the backup, including schedule, scheme, archive cleanup and others:
  8. Click Back up now or select another start time option:

On a Mac

  1. Start Acronis True Image.
  2. On the sidebar, click Backup.
  3. Click Add backup, and then click Create new backup.
  4. Click the Backup source icon, and then select the type of items you want to back up: disk and partitions or files and folders:
      
  5. In the opened window, select the check boxes next to the items that you want to back up, and then click OK:
  6. Click the Backup destination icon, and then select a destination for backup:

    Acronis Cloud is availble for Acronis True Image Cloud users.
  7. Click Settings to set the options for the backup, including schedule, scheme, archive cleanup and others:
  8. Click Start backup.
