The issue is caused by broken tib_mounter installation. To resolve the installation error please follow these steps:

1. Check if these files:

are present in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\TibMounter
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\TibMounter

If they are present, execute tibmountermonitor.exe and if this is successful, retry Acronis installation.

If the
TibMounter folders from above do not exist, start Command prompt (Start -> search -> cmd) as admin (right-click and select Run as administrator) and execute:
sc query tib_mounter

If the service is registered, run:
sc delete tib_mounter

If this operation is successful, retry Acronis installation. The issue should be resolved.
