Introduction

Follow these instructions to move Acronis MassTransit to a new machine.

Migrating Acronis MassTransit version 5.x

  1. Install MySQL 5.0.42 on new system.
  2. Install Masstransit 5.1.112 on new system.
    Directions for installation.
  3. If old machine is running – make a backup with the MySQL Administrator and restore the databases to the new system - https://kb.acronis.com/content/39719. If you can’t run the Admin, but can access the DB files /usr/local/mysql/data/mtdatabase folder, then copy these files to the new system. Zip prior to moving them. Follow the directions on page 6 of this document to restore the files.
  4. Copy the MassTransitEngine.cfg file from the old system to the new.
  5. If you have a local User Mailboxes folder, copy it to the new server.
  6. If you have local Drop Folders or folders where Actions will need to place files, copy them to the new server or recreate them on the new server.
  7. Switch over IP address(es).
  8. Make sure that the new machine has access to any remote mailboxes / drop folders that may exist.

  4. Copy the values in old MasTransitEngine.cfg file to the corresponding settings of the new one. Do NOT just copy the old file to the new as there may be new settings in place that the old file does not have.

  6. If you have local Drop Folders or folders where Actions will need to place files, copy them to the new server or recreate them on the new server.
  7. Switch over IP address(es.
