55670: Acronis Backup: How to Set Up Exclusions when Backing Up Mounted File Systems

Last update: Tue, 2016-07-19 17:53

Scenario

  1. You are backing up mounted file systems on a Linux machine (either when working with product installed in the operating system or when working with bootable media).
  2. You want to specify some Source files exclusions to exclude some files on the mounted file system.

Solution

Omit the mount point when specifying Source files exclusion.

For example, you have an LVM /dev/vg01/lv08ora that is normally mounted under /ora02, so you in OS you access the directory oradata/ if this LVM as /ora02/oradata/. When specifying file exclusions in Acronis Backup you should omit the mount point and exclude only /oradata/.
