Backing up entire machine, disks, files or system state

  1. In Backup Management Console click Backup:
  2. A backup plan template is offered:
  3. Select items you want to back up: Entire machine, Disks, Files and folders or System state:
    By default, all disks will be backed up. Alternatively you can select specific items you want to back up.

  4. Select destination for your backup:
    - Cloud
    - Local folder on each machine with backup client.
    - Network folder. Specify the path to the share \\IP_or_name_of_machine\Share
  5. Schedule backups:
  6. Select Cleanup scheme (retention rules). You have multiple options here: clean up archive based on backup age or number of backups, specify a single rule for all backups or different rules for monthly, weekly and daily backups:
  7. Click Apply.
  8. Name and save the plan.
  9. Now the plan is selected for your machine:
  10. You can apply this backup plan to multiple machines: select a machine -> click Backup -> select a backup plan and enable it for this machine.

Backing up SQL Databases or Exchange Data

  1. On the left panel, click Microsoft SQL / Microsoft Exchange.
  2. By clicking on a machine browse to the data you want to back up. You can select entire instances or individual databases.
  3. Click Backup:
  4. A backup plan template is offered:
  5. You can change backup destination, schedule and archive cleanup settings.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Name and save the plan.
  8. Now the plan is selected for your machine.
