The backup task points to Acronis Secure Zone which has either been deleted

This article applies to:

• Acronis True Image Home 2010
• Acronis True Image Home 2010 Netbook Edition

Symptoms

1. Using Acronis True Image Home 2010 you are running a backup task;
2. The backup fails with the following error message:

   The operation failed.

3. The log shows the following code:

   0x000B03E9+0x00040011
   Cannot find a partition with path '\local\hd_sign(53EDB55F)'
   Operation has completed with errors.

Cause

The backup task points to Acronis Secure Zone, which has been deleted.

Solution

You can either delete the task and recreate it. Or you can edit the existing task and point it to a new valid location:

• Deleting the task:

  Click Tasks & Log, right click on the task and select Delete:

  

• Editing the task:
  1. Click Tasks & Log, right click on the task and select Edit:

     

  2. Click Archive location and then Browse:

     

  3. Select a new location and click OK:

     

As a variant, you can also recreate Acronis Secure Zone.
