49490: Acronis True Image: Backup Fails with "Cannot access the path"

Backup fails with the following error message:
Cannot access the path
The system cannot find the path specified


An error occurred while writing the backup file. The root cause of the issue may vary, e.g. the external drive you are backing to is damaged and cannot be read, the network share is not accessible.


  1. If you are backing up to an external drive, make sure it is connected to your computer and is usable.
  2. If you are backing up to a network share, make sure you can connect to this share.
