- Acronis True Image 2015 for Mac
Introduction
With the Acronis Bootable Media you can boot your crashed system into Acronis environment and restore it from a backup.
(!) We strongly recommend to create the Bootable Media immediately after first backup, if the operating system crashes, the only way to restore it is restoring from the Bootable media.
You can create Acronis Bootable Media only on a removable drive of 4GB or more. CD and DVD media are not supported.
The bootable media can be only created if the Recovery partition is present on the machine.
All information on the drive used for media creation will be erased. Do not use the drive where you store backups.
Solution
Connect a removable drive to your Mac;
- Start Acronis True Image for Mac;
- Select File -> Create Rescue Media:
- Select your removable drive and click Create Media:
It is recommended that you create a new rescue media every time you upgrade your Mac OS X to a newer version. Otherwise, your rescue media may not work properly.
